This blog represents travels in West Africa from 2003 through 2012. Tom Neuhaus, the writer of this blog, is president of Project Hope and Fairness, founded to deliver tools to cocoa farmers that will make their occupation more sustainable. PH&F is also committed to building Cocoa Study Centers, where university students can study about village life and work with the cocoa farmers in the fields of Appropriate Technology, Permaculture, Nutrition, Food Science, and chocolate production.
